I brought Harry home to live with Homer and me. They only hissed at each other a few times. They seem to be staying out of each other's way. Wait and see. I like Harry. He's really a sweet cat. He liked riding in the car. He may be photogenic like Homer. I've acted like they've always been here-both of them. See how long that works.
Phillip called and left a message. He wished me a "Happy Father's Day" even though I'm not his father. That made me feel great.
I went to my cousin's for dinner, cards and to pick up Harry. We play progressive rummy. I won tonight. I kept setting Pati. That doesn't normally happen with me. Alan got a new grill for Father's Day so he grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken for dinner. They also made baked beans and had cooked mushrooms to put on the hamburger. The hamburger was great. It really hit the spot. I also ate a piece of chicken. It was good too. Alan will be grilling alot.
I enjoyed Father's Day at my parents' house. I gave my father a gift card for 4 different restaurants. He seemed pleased with that. He teased Mom about he wasn't sure who he would take to dinner with him. Mom brought me back a refrigerator magnet that's a photo frame with my first name on it. That's cool.. I think I have a photo that will fit in it.
Harry doesn't like a dirty litter box. I'll have to keep it clean by scooping everyday. I try but get too busy and forget to keep Homer's litter box clean. Homer still uses it. Harry used the air mattress behind the couch. I'll get him his own box later today. I forgot that this weekend. I had a little bit of food left for him. I'll take care of that. I was so busy with the show opening that I failed to take care of the cat's arrival.
The show is a blast! I'm glad it runs 5 weeks. I've enjoyed the parties this past week after the show. The theatre complex has a cabaret bar upstairs. It's a really cool place. It's in the round. It has a skylight dome and all the strands of white Christmas lights run all the way around the diameter of the circle. Very unsettling with the eyes. I can't look up at them very long.
On Mother's Day at church, they gave all the women of the church, (high school age on up), a rose. They decided to give all the men of the church, (high school age on up), something this year. They collected old ties from the men in the church and nobody knew why. I thought a ladies' quilting group decided to make a quilt from old ties. The children gave every man a tie that didn't match whatever he was wearing. I found that quite amusing. I got an olive green paisley tie that looked like it was from 1988. I would have worn it then. I left it on for lunch at Mom and Dad's.
